The Late But Much Anticipated Blog

Hey guys
Sorry I haven't updated, I've heard you guys are all ready to hear what happened homecoming night. I'm sorry I've been so busy, I wish I wasn't, you know? anyway...
Megan started working on my hair at about 2 o clock. Wow. I don't think I'm ever going to take that long to do my hair ever agian...unless it's like, you know, my wedding or something. haha. I left the house at 5:45, and then Rylee and I went to the school to meet Ryan and Amanda for pictures. Then we had to wait about a half an hour to get in, because they weren't set up yet. Dorks. Then the pictures took time, and I haven't gotten them back yet, but I'm sure they're not a total loss. I'll get them up here when I get them, I guess. We went to Tepanyakis for dinner, and it was AMAZING!!! I've never seen cooking like that-- all the chefs had like, wicked ninja skillz. Awesome!! I'm going to learn to cook like that....in my dreams, anyway. The chef dude like, made a volcano out of onions and blew things up and cracked eggs on his spatula thingy and threw shrimp around. Rylee almost caught his. ^_^
Then...came the dance!! This was the part I was nervous about, but it turned out to be the funnest part of the date. First off, you wouldn't BELIEVE the security. There were 3 gates we had to go through to get to the dance. First, they made sure we were actually students here, and not just some random couple that decided to show up to some random school dance. We had to flash our student ID cards and they had to double check our faces to make sure we really were who we were. Then the second gate, they made sure you had no absences or tardies. At all. Or you were turned away. Believe me, there were a LOT of angry kids at school the next monday. Then the final gate made sure we had our tickets and we paid for everything and the dress code thing. We got two stamps, one on each wrist, and then we were allowed inside. And we weren't allowed back out, unless we had to get a drink. Get this-- we had to go back outside, walk around the school, and go through another door with a guard if we wanted a drink. But anyway
The dance was awesome, we found Katelyn and her date Bill, and we partied till we were purple. I can't really dance, but Rylee made me feel better, because he said he can't dance either, and he couldn't. =D Bill's a ballroom dancer, but I could keep up with him. Haha.
Ryan- pooor Ryan. His date totally ditched him to go and talk with her friends. She only danced with him once for like, 30 seconds. He just kind of stood around the whole dance looking awkward. I wanted to punch Amanda's face in for being such a jerk to him, but I decided not to. So Ryan came and danced with us for a bit, but in the end he just left early. I felt so bad...
After Katelyn and my feet started hurting, and it got too hot to dance anymore, me, rylee, bill, and katelyn just went outside and sat at one of the tables and just talked the whole time. It was awesome! Then the dance ended and the room was cleared out and the DJ guy left and they turned off the lights. But we still just stayed and talked until about midnight. Then we remembered we had houses and sleep and stuff, and we went home.
It was WAY fun, and I definately feel better about dating. Not that I want to do it a lot or anything, but I don't think it would be so bad every once in a while. =D
Anyway, there's the update, sorry it's late.

Homecoming!!!

This morning I got asked to homecoming by my friend Rylee Locke. It's kind of a school joke that I'm a real live leprechaun, and so Rylee made this big poster with all these leprechauns and shamrocks that said, "I would be one LUCKY dude if you went to homecoming w/ me" (Aww) And I had to decode his name with little shamrocks. Sweet! My mom probably has pictures of it up on her blog. Haha.
Anyway, I'm answering him by putting up a rainbow in his car with a pot of gold at the end. Sweet, yeah? So I get to go dress shopping this week and my cousin Megan freaked out and is pretty much doing everything else for me.
I'm way exited but kind of nervous. This is my first date, and it's something big like homecoming... but I bet I'll have a ton of fun. =D I'll put pics up and stuff as soon as I get going on it, so keep reading... =D
